Viralabs

Viralabs, an experiential marketing agency, needed a microsite to present a 90-second showreel video, on both desktop and mobile browsers.

Since the site has to be viewable across varying resolutions, I used responsive design techniques to automatically reflow the site's layout when the viewport changes. This technique ensures that the video would be seen on desktops, tablets, and phones in either landscape or portrait orientation. Since Flash is unavailable on iOS devices, I used the new HTML5 video tag to embed the showreel, with various formats for desktop browsers such as Firefox and Chrome, and with a Flash fallback for browsers unable to play HTML5 video.
